The Manufacturing Sciences Corporation (MSC) Quality Assurance Program has been developed to determine processes needed for the quality management system and to ensure that products and services provided by MSC, a subsidiary of Global Medical Isotope Systems (GMIS), meet applicable regulatory, industry, and contract requirements. Manufacturing Sciences Corporation is committed to the delivery of superior products and service to all our customers.
The Quality Assurance Program describes the Company’s overall approach for the control of quality for products and services. This approach is based on ASME NQA-1-2008 with the NQA-1a-2009 Addenda, Part I, Requirements for Quality Assurance Programs for Nuclear Facilities; ISO 9001 2008, Quality Management Systems – Requirements; 10 CFR 830, Subpart A, Quality Assurance Requirements; and DOE O 414.1D, Quality Assurance.
Manufacturing Sciences Corporation was recertified for Tennessee’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Voluntary Protection Program STAR award on April 30, 2015. MSC originally achieved VPP STAR status in 2000 and currently has achieved over 2,500 days without a lost time accident. Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) promote effective worksite-based safety and health.
In the VPP, management, labor, and OSHA establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system. Approval into VPP is OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health.
